Kim McDade-Torres, an experienced manager in the restaurant industry, after having worked in numerous corporate settings decided it was time to hang up the hat in the actual restaurant management business, and branch out and take on the customer-driven catering world.  Kim sought out a space where she could open her catering kitchen, and begin to serve the lovely people of Oklahoma.  Catering Creations opened its doors in 2009.  Kim worked tirelessly to grow this small business with the support of her long-time friend Jacob Moore.  The duo having met in the 1980’s have worked together seamlessly to create customized menu’s suited for events both small and large.  While they grew their operation, Kim and Jacob held stead-fast to principle of “people first, food second.” To them, establishing personal connections with each and every client was of the utmost importance; that paired with her great-tasting food, and her ability to custom-tailor a menu for clients, Catering Creations quickly gained the support and respect of her clients.  With the support and encouragement of her family Kim has been able to take Catering Creations from its start, and grow it exponentially.  In 2015, Kim was approached by a long-time friend and mentor about a neat little space that was becoming available for lease just a short ten-minute drive north in Moore.  After having visited the space with her family, Kim instantaneously knew, “This was it, here we go, we are opening a restaurant.”  With the environment, ambiance, and capacity, Kim knew the possibility was seemingly endless and said to Jacob and her family, “Catering Creations is moving to Moore!”

About | Nosh & Catering Creations

Kim, with the help of Jacob, staff, and family worked tirelessly to take the idea from concept, to opening for service, with one thought in mind; creating food that was comforting, filling, tasty, and overall an experience that would set them apart from every other restaurant in Moore.  Her chef at the time expressed a passion of food and collectively they developed the menu.  They wanted to share great food and fellowship with the people of Moore; wanting others to “Eat Enthusiastically” Thus “Nosh” was born.  Opening the doors in May 2015 was a mile-stone for Kim and Jacob; and was a way to see just how far they had come from day one of Catering Creations.  With her expertise of the restaurant business she knew she was facing an up-hill battle to make the restaurant succeed; and the only way she could do it, was sticking the values she had from day-one.  “Take care of your customers, take care of your people, and give them something to remember, as a local business we have to take care of each and every person.  They are the reason we are open, and without them, we wouldn’t have made it this far.” Her restaurant has just hit its one-year mark, and business is steadily growing, and is utilizing the skills and knowledge of many of her family members to help their family-operated business grow.

This is just a brief history of the company, and what does Kim expect for the future? “Only time will tell, but we’ve got some great things planned, and we hope to be become the go-to restaurant for the city of Moore, and a household name.  Stay tuned, we are about to turn it up a NOSH!”
